Messy. That is all I can say. Like most of us, I am spending most of my days juggling a three-ring circus. As a wife, mom of three kiddos, co-owner of Chandler Chiropractic - a multi doctor medical facility - and juggler of all the other randomness I get involved in, life is busy, chaotic and sometimes overwhelming.
As a borderline (LOL!) compulsively, organized planner, I can really get absorbed in making everything perfect all of the time. Balancing being present, engaged and interactive with my family while being energetic, productive and growing professionally, can be quite the challenge. I want to do it all; all the time; and perfectly. I am consistently turning to God to bring me patience, presence and calm.
G.R.I.T. (goals. relationships. image. time.) grew out of my own struggles with wanting to be the best version of myself, but also not leave what's really most important in the dust. As I talk to others, I feel like more and more are in a similar situation. Sometimes we don't know where to start, how to start or what to do. The overwhelm can become paralyzing so instead we binge watch a show on Netflix, or grab a tub of ice cream out of the freezer.
I want more than anything to help whoever wants help, to become more organized, better utilize time and really engage in the important relationships in our lives - God, marriage, family. Find that time for our own "image" or health - physical, emotional, nutrition. And grow as a person.
